Can anyone else obtain an application and ballot for me?
Someone other than yourself may obtain an application for you. Someone other than yourself may not obtain a ballot for you unless an emergency exists (see below). In all cases, ballots must be received in the Town Clerk's Office by the date of the election in order to be counted.

If an unforeseen emergency arises that makes me unable to go to the polls, can I still vote by absentee ballot on the day of the election?
Yes, there is an Emergency Application for an Absentee Ballot. The criteria to obtain an Emergency Absentee Ballot is as follows:
1) an unforeseen illness or physical disability occurring within 6 days before the close of the election or
2) because you are a patient in a hospital within 6 days of the election

Where do I vote in a Primary?
If you live in the 24th District, your polling place is the New Fairfield High School (Dining Commons) at 54 Gillotti Road. If you live in the 30th District, your polling place is the New Fairfield Senior Center at 33 Route 37.
Who is eligible to vote by absentee ballot in this election?
First, you must be a registered voter in the party of the Primary; second, one of the following criteria must be met when applying for an absentee ballot:
1) active service in the Armed Forces of the United States
2) absence from the town during voting hours
3) sickness
4) physical disability
5) religious tenets, which forbid secular activity on the day of the primary
6) duties as an election official at a polling place other than your own during all of the hours of voting.
