Food Pantry

The food pantry provides an emergency supply of food for community members in need. The pantry may only be accessed by appointment and accepts donations of nonperishable food items and household supplies. Those wishing to donate food and/or supplies should contact the Social Services Department at 203-312-5669.  

Any adult or high school student wishing to volunteer at the Pantry should print and complete the linked Pantry Volunteer Application Standard PDF or Fillable PDF. It should be mailed to:

Holiday Giving Program

Food Baskets are distributed each year to individuals and families during the months of November and December. Individuals wishing to obtain a basket may schedule an appointment with the department.

Summer Camp Program

Financial assistance for children wishing to attend summer camp is available to area families who meet the programs guidelines.

Senior Assistance

 The Department provides Senior Citizens with program information, referral, as well as Medicare Heath Insurance Counseling.
